The technique encourages ever-finer adjustments in the alignment of how to perform asanas and pranayama.
The sequence in which asanas and pranayama are practiced can profoundly influence the mental and emotional effects experienced. To this end Julie will be offering a carefully planned well balanced set of programmes, drawing on her wealth of experience.
Timing refers to the length of time spent in asanas or Pranayama. It takes time to move into a posture and become stable in order to extract its full benefit.
Pranayama is started once a firm foundation in asana has been established so Julie is asking for 6 months yoga experience as a minimum to attend. Pranayama gives numerous physical benefits to all body systems creating both energy and calmness. The experience of this weekend is far from merely “stretching and deep breathing” and is one of the best gifts you could give to yourself.
Julie is a truly inspirational teacher, having started yoga in her youth near Edinburgh she now takes classes near her home in the Scottish Borders. Julie has studied regularly with the Iyengars in Pune since 1999 as well as with visiting senior teachers, ensuring teaching is up to date with current, approved teaching practices.
Julie’s knowledge of yoga and sensitivity combined with the serenity of Lendrick Lodge make this a tranquil and rejuvenating experience.

As a residential centre, the cost of food and accommodation is payable whether you stay at Lendrick Lodge or not.
