Victoria Mulhearn is an International Reiki Master. She initially qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in her early twenties, later studying acupuncture, Reiki then medicinal Qi Gong.
Victoria’s passion, which inspires change on her workshops, is to share life-improving knowledge. This empowers you to direct the Qi, or life force internally, facilitating personal healing.
Victoria trained in Qi Gong with Dr. Taya Stanley and Dr. Barbara Briner from the states. Both are trained medical doctors and Chinese medicine doctors.
Learning Medicinal Qi Gong on this weekend, you will:
• Focus your energy through a series of exercises called the Dao Yins, bringing balance and health to the five yin organs of the body: Lungs, kidney, liver, heart and spleen.• Be introduced to a series of purging exercises that can help to reduce anger and daily stresses, promoting relaxation and a calmness of mind.
• Learn a beautiful and very enriching Shen Gong Meditation, which can be practiced and deepened through self-practice at home.
The yoga over the weekend will focus on asana practice, where we will pay attention to alignment for ease of holding a pose, perhaps with props, and also attention to the breath, working towards pranayama.
Your yoga teacher this weekend is Wendy Fraser who shares a holistic approach based on a lifetime of spiritual devotion. Wendy was initially introduced to the discipline from the age of eleven while at ballet school. She continued the pursuit of her passion for yoga when she trained and studied with a family of healers at the Westbank healing centre. In the late nineties she studied the Ashtanga method of yoga with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in India. Wendy continues to study with Senior Iyengar teachers in India and elsewhere.
Meditation will also be a part of our practice together. By bringing more flexibility to our bodies, and peaceful repose to the mind we attain a general sense of health and well being which helps us feel more balanced in our lives.
