The Yoga Journey builds upon accomplishments of both Eastern and Western science. Everyone receives a Course Manual and may qualify for a Certificate of Participation.
The daily schedule is mildly intense and balanced with personal time. The course includes morning and afternoon sessions, Guided Meditations, Dynamic and Restorative Asana Practice and Workshopping, Daily Journaling Exercises, BioSpiritual Reconciliation (Focusing), Art Therapy, Study of Gross and Subtle Body Anatomy, Koshas and Bardos, Intermediate Breathwork and Chanting.
We also meet for discussion, small group learning, partner-assisted work and meals.
Christian was born in 1959 and raised in the small town Traun, Austria. His academic interests took him into general studies of Psychology, Political Science and Business Administration at the
University of Vienna, Austria. In 1983, he traveled to California and was able to audit the first year long International Peace Studies project at the University of California Santa Barbara. He studied with H.H. The Dalai Lama and other spiritual teachers. His work is greatly inspired and guided by the late Kriya master Swami Hariharananada, Integral Yoga's Swami Satchidananda, Dr. Stanislav Grof's Holotropic Breathwork, Ashtanga Yoga master Baba Hari Das, Peggy Dylan of Sundoor School of Transpersonal Education, Maha siddha yoga master Swami Savitripriya, Fathers Peter Campbell, Ph.D. and Edwin McMahon, Ph.D. co-founders of the Institute for BioSpiritual Research.
Course Requirements: a minimum 6-month beginning to intermediate level yoga practice. Reasonably good overall physical and mental health.
