In this course the aim will be to help students
discover a way of practising
that leads them towards wholeness and freedom of movement;
wholeness because the whole body becomes involved in every
movement, and freedom because when the body moves in an integrated
way, it experiences no block or limit and no part of the body
is put under stress. In this natural and animal-like way of
moving, we actively release
tension and unblock the deep, alive movement of the spine.
In this week-long course with Gary, we will be exploring the
Yoga practice from a structural perspective whilst looking
at how form and function intertwine with each other; exploring
what really creates the sense of lightness within practice
and movement; how we can start to create the conditions for
freedom within the practice. |
