Yoga

Yoga teacher Madeleine Howard, on this winters day, shares her
knowledge of yoga practised in the Iyengar tradition.
She will encourage you to feel the alignment of each posture
from the standings through to the sittings and inverteds.
Reap the benefits long term from this dynamicday to inspire
and focus your own regular practice. The day is the first part
of a trilogy, to be enjoyed individually, or as a part of an
ongoing programme with Madeleine.
This balanced revitalising programme includes the option of
a walk in nature (please bring comfortable walking shoes and
cosy outdoor clothing), and continues with a practise, introductory
pranayama and relaxation, and concludes with a hot drink and

Qi
Gong Clinic Day,

We at Lendrick Lodge are honoured to offer our first Medical
Qigong Teaching Clinic Day this summer. In the healing atmosphere
of the River Retreat centre you are invited to receive a medical
qigong treatment within which you can experience the transformational
healing power of this ancient technique for maintaining health
and treating disease. Learn about your body and health from
a Traditional Chinese Medical perspective during your treatment.
Medical Qigong masters have taught that chronic qi blockages
can cause energetic formations of turbid Qi. Untreated, these
stagnant areas begin to take physical form causing emotional
and/or physical imbalance and illness. |

Medical Qigong treats
both acute and chronic conditions treating the whole body to
address physical ailments as well as emotional and energetic
discomfort and imbalance. Acupuncture, a sister to Medical Qigong,
may be added into the treatment if appropriate and desired.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is highly effective in treating
a wide variety of conditions from stress induced body tension
to insomnia, indigestion, depression, pain disorders as well
as chronic illness.
Treatments last 30 minutes and include diagnosis, treatment

Evening to Toltec Shamanism,

the spirit of masks for healing tools in their ceremonies. On
this day workshop you will not only create a mask which you
can use for ritual and healing, you will also bring its power
to life and enjoy sharing its magic with the rest of the circle.
Discover skilful ways to weave the spirit of the mask into your
life.
Within indigenous Shamanic cultures, medicine women and men
often shift from their normal state of being, into shaman.
When the tribe see the mask on the shaman their faith and
trust expands to facilitate their own healing process. The
mask is also a massive trigger for the magic of the shaman
to come vividly to life. In addition, masks are a great theatre
of play and experimenting with aspects of our psyche that
need expression.
