Inspired by the creative
approach to yoga taught by students of Vanda
Scaravelli and the teachings of the Buddha,
also, the dynamic energy of the
martial arts, Jeanette Karlsson (born in Sweden 1969)
combines her own practise and teachings. She lives and teaches
in Brighton, at festivals in the UK, and abroad. She attends
regular retreats especially insight meditation and inquiry
as taught by Christopher Titmuss.
Jeanette trained to teach yoga at Morley College (200-2001)
with Rosamunde Jordan and Marilyn
Freedman. Jeanette’s background of traditional
Thai-Yoga-Massage clearly
links the path of yoga and meditation together.
You are warmly
invited to unravel the body, mind and heart towards a freer
reality. Using the simple tools of the breath, the
ground or gravity, we learn how to reconnect to and free up
the spine - our centre. The exhalation connects to a sense
of stability and groundedness. Discover how to combine the
breath with asanas, joyful movement and periods of calmness.
Gradually, as
outer tension falls away, we find new ways to unfold from
inside out. Enjoy reshaping the patterns within our
spine, muscles and joints, positively effecting the whole.
New spaces open up as if by magic!
Short periods of silence show you how to go
deeper still and a state of meditation can move in. Without
force, we deepen further with the use of pranayama (yogic
breathing) and simple meditation techniques found in the tradition
of the Buddha.
There is nowhere to go or nothing to become
- just let yourself go -and
let peace and freedom in.
Cost: £230 (£200
