One of the main themes
in yoga is the integration of the mind the body and the breath.
This begs the question that at some point there was disintegration.
In pursuit of integration it has often puzzled me that the
mind (meditation) the body (asana) and the breath (pranayama)
are frequently kept in their separate boxes. So this week
will look at ways we can bring these three aspects of our
human nature together in a useful and meaningful way.
There are probably three main ways that interfere with the
capacity to be a fully integrated (mature) person.
Firstly we never fully connected, secondly we
shut down feelings that were difficult to deal with, and thirdly
we form habits, so we often don't know what we are doing.
This week will look at ways that can help us
notice and integrate these things through attentive yoga practice.
